The fibre identifier FID-30R can detect optical signals in a fibre. The method is not destructive; it performs a controlled macro bending of the fibre, this causes some light to leak out which is detected by an embedded detector.
- Detects Tone and Traffic
- Detects ONU (requires mapping of ONU signal form)
- Pistol grip with trigger-based locking function
- 2.4" Colour screens
- Can be used for 250 µm primary coated fibre, 900 µm secondary coated fibre as well as 2 and 3 mm patch cords
- Embedded power meter for measuring absolute and relative effect (dBm and dB)
- Power meter delivered with a 2.5 mm universal adapter
