The digital broadband technology within the fibre to the home segment is evolving rapidly. To be able to offer services with the quality expected by the customer, cables and components used must have the necessary quality. When running cable in a house the cable may be exposed to more severe bends than are normal in other parts of the network. This requires a fibre that is more insensitive to these types of effects. Our subscriber patch cords/subscriber cables uses single mode fibres according to ITU-T G.657.A2 which meets these requirements.
Subscriber cable w/0.9 mm ending , white 1-, 2- or 4-fibre cable with connector in one end. Terminated side have a stripped ending of 65cm with 0.9 mm fibre. This enables fibre storage inside the wall outlet or home central. The connector is either connected to the wall outlet or directly to the home central. The other end is typically spliced to the incoming cable (from the broadband supplier) in an external subscriber box.
