In the articles direct cabling and cabling via distribution point, we illustrate how a fiber optic plug & play solution can be used in an office building or the like and which products are needed. The solution with direct cabling consists of terminated 2-fiber subscriber cable mounted directly in a panel in the technical room. When using a distribution point, a combination of terminated 2-fiber subscriber cable and 12/24-fiber MPO cabling is used.
