FOSC-400 FIBRE OPTIC CLOSURE

The FOSC name is synonymous with excellence in sealing, fiber management, ease to use and design flexibility. The original FOSC 100 was introduced in 1986 and has hold the leadership position since. Foss has sold Commscope's closures for many years and we believe these is the best fiber optic closures that is on the market. 
 

FOSC-400 WITH STANDARD CABLE SEALS

The FOSC-400 series splice closures offer 6 different models with different splice capacity. They are made in a thermoplastic material and is suitable for use in man holes, pedestals, street cabinets, on poles or directly buried. The base and dome is selaed with o-ring and clamp (no screws).

Sealing of cable ports is don with crimp seales (hot sealing). With crimp seales you will get a fitted and lasting result.

1 splice tray and 1 oval seal is included. IP-rating: 68 and recommended protection sleeve: 45 mm.

FOSC-400G WITH GEL SEALS

The FOSC-400G series splice closures offer 4 different models with different splice capacity. They are made in a thermoplastic material and is suitable for use in man holes, pedestals, street cabinets, on poles or directly buried. The base and dome is selaed with o-ring and clamp (no screws).

Sealing of the cable ports with Gel. (cold sealings). The cold seal advantage is that it can be opend when you need to add or remove cabels and it will still be as fitted every time.

1 splice tray and is included. 7 different Gel Seals are available. IP-rating: 68 and recommended protection sleeve: 45 mm

The pole brackets

Standard pole brackets for the fosc-400 and fosc-400g series of splice closures from commscope.

OPTICAL SPLITTERS

The OCC1x-series of optical splitters can be mounted in trays, see the table below. The splitter is clipsed onto the tray if the splice tray is prepared for it. If the splice tray is not prepared for splitters, the tray must be substituted with a special splitter-tray 825194-000. Number of cable entraces defines the splitter capacity. Hence, optical splitters are usually installed in splice enclosures with Gel sealings.
